You have business dealings with Americans - perhaps with American partners or as an employee of an American company or as a member of an international team, and you feel the overall collaboration could be improved. Therefore, you'd like to broaden your knowledge of American business culture and learn how to communicate more effectively with Americans. You hope that by acquiring greater cultural competence you'll be able to deal more constructively with challenging situations and that this will help you and your American counterparts achieve your goals faster and with better results.
We provide cross-cultural training with a focus on American culture, particularly in the business setting. You'll learn about general American attitudes and patterns of behavior in the workplace, American business etiquette and American conventions of communication. What's more, you'll be made aware of some of the cultural differences between Germans and Americans that are not so obvious at first glance.

Writing and publishing are basic to academic life today, and in order to reach a wider audience many scholars now need to publish in English. It is a shock therefore to submit your manuscript for publication only to have it returned with the comment: "rejected because of poor English".
Learning to write well in any language is a process, and with proper training non-native speakers can learn to avoid typical errors to greatly improve the quality of their writing.
